Story
KGF 2 begins with the end part of the first series. The hero becomes super power in no time but he faces hurdles with Sanjay Dutt, who played Adheera, the leader of the Vikings clan. Rocky faces him head-on and puts Adheera on the back step. This is also the time more problems get created for Rocky as the prime minister of India, Raveena Tandon gets aware of Rocky’s power and orders for his downfall. The remaining story details how Rocky faces Adheera and the political power and comes out victorious.
Review
As the film is action-packed with alluring mass moments, the director has stolen the hearts of the audience. Also, the performance of Yash is astounding which highlights the film. His attitude, body language, and laid-back screen presence are mesmerizing in the film. The female lead Srinidhi Shetty too has attempted her best. When it comes to Raveena Tandon, her role is being authoritative as a prime minister. The clash between Rocky and Adheera looks a bit forced at the end. However, the first half is elongated for some more time than usual.
Technical aspects
Almost all the technical aspects, from the background music to camera work, are superbly done. The action choreography and thrills are excellently framed. On the editing part, it is slow-paced in the first half. By creating a much bigger force, the second half maintains the momentum around the interval mark. If you like the first part of KGF and understand its backlogs, there are higher chances to consider the same about KGF 2. But if anyone is with higher expectations on KGF 2, it is insipid.
Plus Points
- Yash’s performance
- Technical aspects
Minus Points
- Slow editing and elongation in the first half
- Forced clash between the characters Rocky and Adheera
- predictable story
Overall Review
At last, the overall review says the film is an inch closer to reaching expectations, as it is not up to expectations, and it remains with an average talk.
