K. Taraka Rama Rao, the Working President and Minister of Bharat Rashtra Samithi, recently acknowledged and honored the NIMS medical team for their unwavering service during a critical period in 2009. The medical team had played a pivotal role in providing care to KCR during his hunger strike for the cause of Telangana.
The doctors recounted their 11 days of concern for KCR’s health, facing challenges not only in maintaining the Chief Minister’s well being but also in navigating pressures from government officials, police officers, and central government authorities. Despite fears of a threat to KCR’s life, the medical team persevered, and KCR’s mental strength allowed him to continue the hunger strike.
KTR emotionally expressed his family’s everlasting gratitude for the services rendered by the NIMS medical team. He highlighted the dual challenge faced by the family protecting the aspirations of Telangana’s people while worrying about KCR’s health. KTR specifically mentioned the team’s moral support during difficult moments.
