Netflix has been served a legal notice after one of its shows streamed extremely objectionable content relating to Bollywood star Madhuri Dixit. In the sitcom ‘The Big Bang Theory’ streamed on Netflix, one of the characters refers to Madhuri Dikshit as ‘leprous pr..stitue’ which is severely disturbing and humiliating her.
Irate over Netflix’s show’s irresponsible comments on Madhuri Dixit, activist and political analyst Mithun Vijay Kumar filed a lawsuit against the OTT streaming platform. He urged Netflix to remove the derogatory content ot face consequences.
Madhuri Dixit is considered one of the all time great heroines of Bollywood. She was considered the queen of the Hindi film industry in 1990s. Owing to her glamour and performance she commanded millions of fans. She enjoys great stature even today.
