Popular Tamil actor and director Manobala passed away in Chennai on Wednesday. The 69-year-old actor-director was suffering from liver related ailments. As the news of Manobala’s death spread, grief poured in from Tamil and south Indian film lovers.
For the present generation, Manobala is known as a popular comedian. He has acted in more than 450 films. He acted along with many top stars like Vijay, Surya, Rajinikanth, Dulquer Salman, Samantha, Kamal Hassan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi and others.
Manobala was also a successful director in 1980s and 90s, before he turned actor. He has directed stalwarts like Sivaji Ganesan and Rajinikanth in his eventful career. Superstar Rajinikanth, Kamal Hassan, Suhasini, Revathi, Barathi Raja, Jyotika, Sai Dharam Tej and others expressed grief over Manobala’s demise.
