MIM leader and MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi are under scrutiny as a case has been registered against him for allegedly defaming the CI of Santosh Nagar, Hyderabad. The case, filed on Wednesday November 22, includes charges under sections 353, 506, 153a, 505(2) IPC, and 125 RP at the Santosh Nagar police station, relating to the reported abuse of the CI while on duty.
The incident occurred when Santosh Nagar CI Sivachandra advised Akbaruddin Owaisi to conclude his campaign early on Tuesday night at Lalit Bagh. Akbaruddin expressed his displeasure and directed verbal abuse towards the police officer on duty.
In a heated exchange, Akbaruddin questioned the CI’s authority, declaring that nobody has the right to stop him. He emphasized his determination to continue campaigning and challenged those opposing him in the upcoming competition in Chandrayanagutta.
The registered case sheds light on the tensions between the political leader and law enforcement, adding a layer of controversy to the election landscape.
