It stated that Samsung sold more than 1.2 million Galaxy devices on day 1 of online festive sales. This has created a new record in India. The company also said that it sold Rs 1,000 crore Galaxy devices in 24 hours.

The company had implemented a price cut in some smartphones like Galaxy S20 FE 5G, Galaxy S22 Ultra, Galaxy S22, Galaxy M53, Galaxy M33, M32 Prime Edition and Galaxy M13. There are also discounts available in the range of 17-38%. On the first day of Flipkart’s Big Billion Days sale, the company doubled its market share on the platform.

On the first day of Amazon’s Great Indian festival, Samsung was the top smartphone brand, with every 3rd smartphone being a Galaxy, where Galaxy M13 regarded as the best seller. The company is set to consolidate its 5G and overall smartphone leadership in the country with a strong start to the festive season sales. Samsung had a 16.3% market share in the second quarter of 2022 with shipments of 5.7 million units.
