The 5th edition of the FE CFO awards are going to be held today evening in Mumbai. The awards ceremony will grace the presence of Piyush Goyal who is the Union Minister for Commerce & Industry, Consumer Affairs, Textiles, Food and Public Distribution as the chief guest. Also, the chairman and managing director of Hindustan Unilever Sanjeev Mehta will take part in the ceremony.
Over 4 decades, the Lifetime Achievement award has been acquired by the Group CFO and Joint MD, JSW Steel Seshagiri Rao for his far-reaching efforts. Rao has played a crucial role in JSW Steel’s inorganic growth, managing ten procurements. For reducing the RIL balance sheet after the raise of borrowings to $70 billion and sewing up the ratings didn’t fall, the joint CFO of Reliance Industries Srikant Venkatachari will strand with the CFO of the year award.
Additionally, the award will also be honoured to 20 CFOs from across sectors for their excellent renditions. The ex-deputy managing director of HDFC bank Paresh Sukthankar is going to held the ceremony and all the achievers were picked by a distinguished jury. The companies were ranked according to the performance of the concerned sector, auditors’ comments, credit ratings, M & A Activity and corporate governance.
