Prime Minister Narendra Modi found fault with freebies saying that giving money and things to people freely is a temporary measure but not a sustainable long term solution. PM Modi made these comments in a virtual session addressing Karnataka BJP workers, apparently attacking his main rival Congress party.
Congress party has promised several free schemes to poor and middle class people in Karnataka. The major among them are offering Rs 2000 per month for women and Rs 3000 unemployment allevance per month for unemployed graduates. It has also promised 200 units free power for every household.
The poll promises of Congress have became an instant hit with people and its campaign has been good response. Sensing this, PM Modi has come with his response of dereding freebies. PM Modi even said that Congress’s warranty has ended and there is no guarantee for its poll promises.
