To lay the foundation stone for several projects worth Rs 25,000, the prime minister Narendra Modi is going to visit Southern states like Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Tamilnadu. His visit will be a two-day visit, starting from the 11th of this month. During his tour, he will also attend several events in those states.
Modi will begin his two-day tour from Karnataka, where he will pay floral tributes to the statues of saint-poets Kanaka Dasa and Maharshi Valmiki in Bengaluru.
He will flag off the Vande Bharat Express and the Bharat Gaurav Kashi Darshan train from the city and later he will launch Terminal 2 of the Kempegouda International Airport, built at a cost of around Rs 5,000 crores.
At Friday afternoon, the prime minister will attend the 36th convocation ceremony of the Gandhigram Rural Institute at Dindigul in Tamilnadu. On Saturday, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of multiple projects at Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh worth over Rs 10,500 crores. Later, he will dedicate and lay the foundation stone of multiple projects worth over Rs 9,500 crores in Ramagundam in Telangana. This time, the chief minister of Telangana, K .Chandrasekhar Rao is also likely to skip receiving the prime minister to the state.
