After refusing to join forces with the Congress party, the political strategist Prashant Kishore has all set to form a new political party in his home state Bihar. He is now going to enter into direct politics with his new party named ‘Jan Suraaj’. He announced the news on Monday to explain what his next move will be.
His tweet reads, “My quest to be a meaningful participant in democracy & help shape pro-people policy led to a 10-year roller coaster ride! As I turn the page, time to go to the Real Masters, THE PEOPLE, to better understand the issues & the path to Jan Suraaj-Peoples Good Governance. Beginning from Bihar.”
As per sources, a list of some 80-100 leading personalities from civil society, including doctors, teachers, social activists has been prepared. Prashant will meet all of them over the following three days. Among them, he seems to meet leading RTI activist Shiv Prakash Rai, social activist Mukesh Hisaria, Motihari doctor Parvez Aziz and social entrepreneur Irfan Alam. Additionally, he will also get together with some politicians.
In the earlier times, Prashant had associations with various political parties. He was with JD-U in the elections held in 2015, followed by TMC, DMK and TRS-Congress every time. Though his associated parties gained victory in the elections, experts skeptical of his abilities believe that those parties would have anyway won the elections regardless of Prashant’s associations with them.
