Priyamani Shares Insights on Avoiding Dance Numbers and Working with Shah Rukh Khan

Priyamani, celebrated for her versatile roles, shares insights into her career choices, particularly her decision to eschew dance numbers in favor of meaningful roles. Despite her success with the catchy song “One Two Three Four Get On The Dance Floor” from “Chennai Express,” Priyamani reveals in an interview with India Today that she opted out of such offers to avoid being typecast.

Her exception, however, was for Shah Rukh Khan, whom she admires deeply. Priyamani’s admiration for the Bollywood superstar led her to star opposite him in “Chennai Express” and later in “Jawan,” where she portrayed the character of Lakshmi, a pivotal member of Shah Rukh’s all-girl squad.

In her interactions with Shah Rukh Khan, Priyamani found him to be not only a superstar but also a genuinely humble and respectful individual. She emphasizes that her decision to work with him was driven by her admiration for his personality and professionalism.

Priyamani’s journey exemplifies her commitment to meaningful roles and her appreciation for working with esteemed figures like Shah Rukh Khan, showcasing her versatility and depth as an actor.
