Based on the life of Konda Murali and former minister Konda Surekha, the maverick filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has directed a film titled Konda. The film has been on a waiting list for a long time, and now, it has been set for its theatrical release on the 23rd of this month.
Announcing the same at a press conference, Ram Gopal Varma said, “The Murali and Surekha characters seemed special to me. Never heard, read, or seen such characters before. I researched to make a movie when I found out about them. Met the Konda family and got moved by their story.”
The film features Trigun in the role of Konda Murali and Irra Mor in the role of Konda Surekha. The film is funded by Konda Susmitha Patel under the Shresta Patel Movies banner. Malhar Bhatt Joshi handled the cinematography and Manish Thakur is the editor. The music track was composed by Anand Kollabthula. Yesterday, the film unit disclosed its second theatrical trailer which depicts the lives of the Konda couple. And the trailer is riveting.
