Rohit Sharma crosses Kohli’s record in terms of captaincy

Rohit Sharma, who is the current captain of the Indian national team, has defeated the former captain Virat Kohli in terms of captaincy. He is a right-handed opening batsman and an occasional right-arm off-break bowler. He plays for Mumbai in domestic cricket.

Well, Rohit Sharma has crossed Virat Kohli’s rare record in T20 Internationals, by hitting most sixes in T20Is. Rohit Sharma attained this rare feat in the third T20 against West Indies at Saints Kitts. While Rohit Sharma is at the top of the list with 60 sixes, Kohli hit 59 and, Dhoni hit 34 sixes only.

India won by 7 wickets in the third T20 against West Indies. So, Team India is leading 2-1 in the 5-match T20 series. The 4th T20 is going to take place on the 6th of this month.

Rohit Sharma acquired the ICC Men’s ODI Cricketer of the Year award in 2019 after scoring 5 centuries in the World cup tournament held in 2019. He has also received two national honors, the Arjuna Award in 2015 and the prestigious Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna in 2020.
