Rajamouli’s masterwork RRR is still creating sensation even in the OTT space, post its theatrical run. After successfully completing 50 days of its theatrical run, the film has entered Netflix and ZEE5, where Hindi and other versions are being streamed respectively. Surprisingly, this is the first time ever for an Indian movie, continuing the buzz around it.
Naturally, Netflix has a huge reach outside India which is working wonders for the film. After watching the grandiose on Netflix, even non-Indians are posting positive reviews on social media platforms. As RRR is set to re-release on June 1st in the US on more than a hundred screens, it will increase more hype and reach sky-high.
The OTT giant Netflix has announced officially that RRR has become the number one non-English film watched for 18.36 million hours. Similarly in the same week, the English film Top Gun was watched for 6.44 million hours, which is obviously less than RRR’s run time on this platform.
In this way, RRR has been creating a sensation and it is being touted as the world’s biggest film. Kudos to Rajamouli for presenting such energetic entertainment to witness the onerous epic tale.
