Not only an actor but also a writer, director, and producer, Mannava Balayya has died today morning in Hyderabad, suffering from age-related disorders. He is a 92-year-old actor who has acted in over 300 films in different pivotal roles. He created a secure position in the Telugu Film Industry.
In 1970, Balayya launched his own production banner Amrutha Films and produces some big-star pictures like Sobhan Babu’s Chelleli Kaapuram and Neramu-Siksha film that features Superstar Krishna in the lead role. Moreover, as a director, he directed and also produced the blockbuster film ‘Oorikichchina Maata’, which stars Megastar Chiranjeevi in a prominent role. Besides this, he also helmed the movies like Nijam Chepthe Nerama, Pasupu Thaadu, and Police Alludu. Later, he brought out his son Tulasi Ram into the industry as a hero.
As a producer, he acquired Nandi Award for Chelleli Kaapuram film, and also gained the same award as a writer for Oorikichchina Maata. After some time, he rendered his performance as the senior artist in ‘Manmadhudu’ and ‘Malleswari’ movies.
Balayya was born in Chavapadu village in Amaravati mandal of Guntur district on April 9th,1930. From this, when we observe his birth date, today is his birthday, and at the same time, it also became his death day badly. He had studied Mechanical Engineering at Guindy Engineering College, Chennai. During his college days, he was influenced by drama, and he entered the film industry. He made his acting debut with the film Ethuku Pai Ethu. He became successful in his acting career with films such as Bhagyadevatha, Kumkuma Rekha, Parvathi Kalyanam, etc.
