During the 2nd T20I tournament which was held yesterday between India and Sri Lanka, the Indian middle-order batter Shreyas Iyer has presented his flawless dexterity with an unbeaten 74 to lead India to the successful path. This has aided India to chase down 184 with 17 balls to afford and take a 2-0 lead in the three-match series beyond doubt.
Meanwhile, the skipper Rohit Sharma has drawn a backlog unfortunately by securing only one run. But, Shreyas Iyer has secured 74 off 44 balls, within 4 sixes and 6 fours. However, this is the 7th straight series win at home for India. Shreyas made a partnership with Sanju Samson. Samson got the better of his beginning before remitting Lahiru Kumara for 3 sixes and a four to win a 25-ball to 39.
On the flip side, Ravindra Jadeja has also attempted his best while India requiring 56 runs off 48 balls. Before a short pitch from Lahiru Kumara, Ishan Kishan has secured 15-ball 16.
Until the Sri Lankan captain Dasun Shanaka’s rage with a score of 183 for 5, Pathum Nissanka fought single with a half-century. He secured 75 off 53 balls, powered by 11 boundaries. He also secured 67 for the maiden wicket in the partnership with Danushka Gunathilaka.
Later, he added 58 runs for the 5th wicket together with Shanaka, who led 9-ball 47 in 5 sixes. However, at last, team India strived hard in bowling and triumphed over Sri Lanka at 2nd T20 International match.
