A new production facility that will manufacture helicopter gears and gearboxes, will be initiated by Hyderabad’s aerospace sector. To set up an amenity in the city, Skanda Aerospace Technology Private Limited, which is a joint venture between Raghu Vamsi Machine Tools and US-based Rave Gears is ready to invest Rs 250 crore to arrange facilities in Hyderabad.
As reported by a press release, the production facility will manufacture helicopter gear and gearboxes and offer employment to about 1,000 people. The joint venture SATPL will have 55% holding by Rave Gears while RVMT and investors hold 45%. The investment and the employment are being planned for the following 3-5 years.
Rave Gears has also decided to offer annual orders to the tune of $9 million to Skanda Aerospace.
