We have already learnt that the chief minister of Tamilnadu, MK Stalin was infected with Coronavirus recently. Now, a couple of days later, he has been admitted to hospital in Chennai. According to sources, he was admitted to Kauvery hospital for investigations and observation for Covid related symptoms.
Later he tweeted, “There was fatigue today and following confirmation of COVID 19 on testing. I have isolated myself. Let’s all stay safe wearing mask and getting vaccinated.”
The chief minister was seen without wearing a mask in the last few days. He attended a wedding on the 11th and 12th of this month and met a group including Dravidar Kazhagam leader K Veeramani. He also attended government programmes in Tiruvannamalai, where huge crowds of people were seen.
The daily Covid cases in Tamilnadu tally at 2,000. Yesterday, the state recorded 2,269 cases, with Chennai accounting for the highest with 729 cases. There were 18,282 active cases across the state.
