The IT dignitaries have ended work from home option for its employees, with the erase of Covid situations in the country. They have sent e-mails to around 80% employees to attend office for 3 days a week. While this is for all employees, the senior staffers have been told to end WFH completely and attend the office for 5-day work week.
An official mail from the company reads, “Senior leaders of TCS have been working from TCS offices for a while now and our customers are also visiting TCS offices your respective managers will now roster you to work from the TCS office for at least 3 days in a week.”
Rajesh Gopinathan, the CEO of the company rolled out the 25×25 model in May 2020. The company framed a plan to bring 25% of its members back to the office by 2025. Moreover, Tata also wants to welcome the new members who joined after 2020 and never visited the office physically.
Other Tech giants like Apple, Google and Tesla have also asked their employees to work from the office for a set number of days. Earlier, Tesla CEO, Elon Musk asked employees to work from the office for at least 40 hours a week. HCL is also operating with about 6% of staff in the office. In our country, Tech Mahindra has also started the hybrid model and has called back 25-30% of its staff.
