The controversial movie Kerala Story has been banned in Bengal state. Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee took this decision reportedly not to hurt Minorities sentiments and maintain peace in the sensitive state.
Kerala Story movie depicts the life of three Kerala young women who leave India and join terrorist organization ISIS. Since the announcement of Kerala Story, it has become a serious matter of contention between Right Wing forces and Pro Minorities sections.
BJP has been openly backing The Kerala Story movie, with none other than PM Modi endorsing it. BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh state Government has even announced tax waiver for Kerala Story. Now Bengal emerges as the first state to ban the sensational movie.
