It’s safe to assume that two of Tollywood’s star directors are never going to work with the Akkineni brothers. We are talking about Surender Reddy and Parasuram Petla.
Akhil Akkineni has visibly distanced himself from the ‘Race Gurram’ director after the debacle of ‘Agent’. Before the film’s release, the ‘Most Eligible Bachelor’ actor was thanking his director like anything for making him push the envelope. After the film’s failure, though, Surender Reddy has been deprived of even a perfunctory ‘Thank You’ in Monday’s public statement by the hero.
As for Naga Chaitanya, he won’t collaborate with Parasuram. The ‘Custody’ actor recently blamed the ‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata’ actor for “wasting” his time. In 2019, Parasuram was supposed to work with Chay. He abandoned the project and never took it up even after more than two years. Had Parasuram kept Chay occupied, probably, Venkat Prabhu wouldn’t have been able to make ‘Custody’ with him. Some other Telugu actor would have been unlucky enough to do ‘Custody’.
Akhil and Chay have developed a rift with two of the star directors of Telugu cinema.
