Renowned Telugu actor Chandra Mohan, born as Mallampalli Chandrasekhara Rao on May 23, 1943, in Pamidimukkala village, Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh, breathed his last on Saturday at the age of 82. Admitted to Hyderabad’s Apollo Hospital with heart-related ailments, he passed away at 9:45 am, as confirmed by his family members.
Chandra Mohan made his debut in the Telugu film industry with “Rangula Ratnam” in 1966 and garnered acclaim for his role in “Sukha Duhkalu” (1968), where he portrayed the caring brother of Vanisri, earning several awards for his performance.
Survived by his wife, Jalandhara, and two daughters, Chandra Mohan’s funeral is scheduled to take place in Hyderabad on Monday. His legacy in Telugu cinema will be remembered by fans and the industry alike.
