Earlier times, iPad users have demanded a separate WhatsApp app but the company did not step forward to bring it out. But now, WhatsApp seems to launch an iPad version as it was found working on the multi device 2.0 which allows users to log in to a single account from 4 different devices. But still, WhatsApp does not allow users to log in to a single account from two different mobiles.
Wabetainfo shared the screenshot of the iPad version of the app and said, “Multi-device 2.0 will let people link an additional mobile phone or tablet to the same WhatsApp account in the future.” But some details like iPad WhatsApp features, specifications and more are yet to be revealed. Not only on the iPad, but WhatsApp is also working on a dedicated version for the MacOS.
At present, WhatsApp is not applicable for tablets, but this doesn’t mean that you cannot use WhatsApp on tablets, but you can download the mobile version from the App store, according to the Operating System of your tablet. WhatsApp made the multi-device feature available for all after working on the feature for approximately 3 years.
A WhatsApp spokesperson said, “Multi-device means that users will have the similar functionality that is available on the present public versions of WhatsApp web, Desktop and Portal, just without the need to have your phone connected. Our multi-device ability instantaneously makes the experience better for people who use Desktop/Web and Portal. And it also will make it possible and add support for more types of devices over time.”
