The First Thunder of BoyapatiRAPO is well-staged. But, conceptually and in terms of flavour, it is not novel at all.
Director Boyapati Sreenu delivered something more impactful with the teaser for ‘Sarrainodu’ in 2016 itself. In the pre-KGF days, it worked in terms of creating enough buzz around the film.
This is the era of pan-India films. Even the punchline delivered by Ram Pothineni is not punchy enough for today’s times. As an idea, it follows the template of ‘Samara Simha Reddy’ and other B Gopal movies.
The film might still surprise the audience with a solid story. But, as of now, the ‘Akhanda’ director has displayed no novelty.
