WHO? or India? whose reports on daily Covid deaths are correct?

A few months ago, India was regarded as the best country in regulating Coronavirus cases through an uninterrupted vaccination drive. But in the most recent times, India has landed in a controversy, related to the daily reports on Covid deaths.

Many international media outlets have alleged that the country had falsely reported the Covid casualties and the correct numbers would be many folds higher than the numbers mentioned by the government of India.

The World Health Organisation recently reported that multiple people have breathed their last due to the Covid circumstances. The numbers reported by the WHO is quite higher than the numbers reported by the Indian government. As per the global body, the Covid pandemic had hit India really hard by increasing a severe toll on the health system in India.

According to India, the death reports show 5,20,000 number, while WHO data shows 4.7 million fatalities. The difference between the deaths is nearly 10 times higher. So, now we have to know who is correct between them.

India said that the mathematical model used by the WHO to measure the deaths is absolutely wrong. But WHO has replied that it has been calculating the death toll correctly, and this method had been in implementation since the beginning times of the pandemic. Similarly, India has also shouted the same. So, the issue now has become great bewilderment in society.
