Rajamouli Gets Special Invitation from Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Rajamouli’s film “RRR” ran to international acclaim; once again, he received a highly prestigious award. He had been invited in a special way into the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, popularly known as the Oscars Academy. According to reports, 487 people, including Rajamouli of ‘RRR’ fame, have sent out this invitation.
He is the same Rajamouli who, with “RRR”, took Telugu cinema to global recognition. Sometime back, at the box India level, he had made a mark with “Baahubali.” His films “Eega,” “Baahubali 1,” and “Baahubali 2” created national records, while “RRR” got appreciation from Hollywood filmmakers and garnered worldwide attention. Now, after this latest recognition, Rajamouli has been invited to join as a member of the prestigious Oscars Institute in the United States.
All of these invited guests, including Rajamouli, will be eligible to vote at the Oscars in 2025. One more important angle is that Rajamouli’s better half, Rama Rajamouli, also received an invite from the Institute. Many film celebrities and well-wishers congratulated this couple for receiving this rare honor on social media.
Apart from Rajamouli and his wife, a few other actors and artists have been extended the invitation by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences this year. All in all, it has invited 487 members from 57 countries. Other major Indian invitees are Shabana Azmi, Ritesh Sidhwani, Ravi Varman, Reema Das, Sheetal Sharma, Anand Kumar Tucker, Nisha Pahuja, Hemal Trivedi, and Gitesh Pandya.
“We are pleased to invite new members this year,” the Academy posted. The Institute calls for skilled specialists and specialists from around the world.” Keeravani, Senthil Kumar, Ram Charan, NTR, and Keeravani also joined the Oscars Academy last year.
