In a view to inculcate innovative methods in teaching, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is going to make the state implement digital teaching in every classroom from PP-1 class. He said the government was keen on providing better knowledge to government school children with interactive displays or projectors. He was holding a review meeting at the CM camp office here on Friday, in the education department.
Jagan said the government took some important decisions in the field of Digital Education. He guided the authorities to develop all the classrooms with the necessary infrastructure. The officers must ensure that the projectors and interactive TVs are of good quality. He advised them to install smart TVs from PP-1 to class-2 and projectors from class-3 and they should complete the installation process in all the schools that were refurbished under Nadu-Nedu phase-1.
Earlier, he distributed tabs to the schools and now, he directed the officials to ensure that the tabs are of good quality and said that they will be issued to class-8 students after Byju’s loads the content. As valuable equipment is being installed in schools, Jagan told them to take apt steps like installing CC cameras for safety.
Also, they must make the utilization of the toilet maintenance fund and school maintenance fund effectively. He asked officials to speed up the works for the second phase of Nadu-Nedu.
