Modi appeals Indians to hoist National flag in every home :

On the auspicious occasion of 75th year of India’s independence, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi appeals to every India to hoist a National flag at their homes in between August 13-15 to reinforce the Har Ghar Tiranga movement. But, it acquired criticism from the Opposition, which alleged that the appeal was being made by a campaigner for the organisation which took 52 years to hoist the national flag in Nagpur.

Recent tweets by Modi read, “The Har Ghar Tiranga movement will deepen our connection with the tricolor and noted that it was on July 22 in 1947 that the national flag was adopted.” Representing Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Modi said, “Today, we recall the monumental courage and efforts of all those who dreamt of a flag for free India when we were fighting colonial rule. We repeat our commitment to satisfy their vision and build the India of their dreams.”

At the same time, the Union Minister Amit Shah said, “The tricolor will be hoisted on about 20 crore houses across the nation with this campaign, which will work to further enlighten the unbroken flame of patriotism in the minds of every citizen, particularly the youth.”

He said people will be able to increase respect and attachment for the tricolor among the younger generation and tell them about the sacrifice of the heroes who fought for our freedom. He said the national flag not only unites every citizen but also strengthens the spirit of devotion towards the country among the people.
