As the news of stampede at Gymkhana Grounds, where tickets sale was done spread, Telangana Sports Minister Srinivas Goud held a review meeting with HCA president Mohd Azharuddin and Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh Bhagavath and other officials. It is said that in the meeting when Srinivas Goud tried to get details about tickets sales, HCA president Mohd Azharuddin is said to have irked and replied to Minister that he doesn’t have time for all these, and ordered HCA staff to provide details to Minister.
When Sports Minister Srinivas Goud tried to speak further, Mohd Azharuddin is said to have asked him to complete quickly, as he doesn’t have time. Mohd Azharuddin is said to have taken Sports Minister Srinivas Goud lightly and even countered him saying he has much important things to do regarding making arrangements for conducting match rather than sitting in a review meeting.
