Raising protests by BJP members, Kanagaraj, who is a ward member of the Vellalore town panchayat office in the Coimbatore district, has removed the picture of prime minister Narendra Modi that was hung by BJP members recently, inside the executive officer’s room.
Even though Kanagaraj gained victory in the election contesting as an independent candidate, he was assisted by the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK).
In the pursuit of removing Modi’s photo from the office, BJP members in the area have filed a complaint with the Pothanur police station against Kanagaraj and have demanded to implement required action against him.
But this is not the first incident involving the prime minister’s picture. Recently, a man in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore had grumbled that his landlords were scared to throw him out of the house if he did not remove Modi’s photo.
