Uttam Kumar Reddy unveiled the statue of Galwan Valley war hero colonel Santosh Babu in Kodad town on Thursday. Family members, friends, well wishers and general public attended the statue unveiling event in big numbers.
Uttam Kumar Reddy, who served as a fighter pilot in his youth, heaped praise on Colonel Santosh Babu who sacrificed his life for the nation. Uttam stressed that it is a matter of great pride for him that he and Late Colonel Santosh Babu were both alumni of National Defence Academy ( NDA). He further said that the sacrifices of Colonel Santosh Babu and 20 jawans on the China Border will forever remain etched in the hearts of all Indians.
