The high stakes Karnataka election campaign reached its last phase, with just five more for the polling date. The last date for campaigning is May 8, as the state will go for polling on May 10. With just three days more for campaigning, both Congress and BJP have been campaigning aggressively.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is addressing several public meetings in the Karnataka state, to bring back BJP into power. Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi have also been extensively touring in the state. Both the parties have announced their manifestos and turned heads with several important promises.
While Congress is depending more on freebies to get into power, BJP is banking on PM Modi popularity and Hindutva. Both parties are leaving no stone unturned to win the southern state, as it is strategically important for both of them. Besides Congress and BJP, regional outfit JDS is also in the fray.
