Dasara holidays dates have been announced in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Telangana Government announced Dasara Holidays from September 26. While Dasara is on Oct 5, holidays will end on Oct 9. All the educational institutions will be reopened on Oct 10. There will be total 14 days of Dasara vacation in Telangana. All the schools and colleges will be closed during this vacation. Dasara is considered one of the auspicious festivals and especially in Telangana it is celebrated on a grand scale, along with Bathukamma festivities.
In case of Andhra Pradesh, Dasara Holidays will be from September 26 to October 6. Andhra Pradesh government announced Dasara Holidays dates on Tuesday. Schools and colleges will reopen on Oct 7. When compared to Telangana, Government of Andhra Pradesh has given a shorter Dasara vacation for students in the state. Dasara is celebrated on a grand scale even in AP. Especially Vijayawada Kanakadurga Navaratri Utsav is very famous. Devotees from both the Telugu states and neighbouring states visit Vijayawada Kanakadurga godess during Dasara festival season.
