Gangubai Kathiawadi is a biographical crime drama that was run under the direction of the Bollywood veteran director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The film is based on the true story of Gangubai Harjivandas, who was a native of Gujarat. She was an Indian social activist, prostitute, and madam of a brothel in the Kamathipura in Mumbai at the time of the 1960s. Gangubai film features Ajay Devgan, Shantanu Maheshwari, and others in prominent roles.
