As per the daily analysis of Coronavirus cases, being done by the Union Health Ministry, India reported 2,927 new Covid cases today within 24 hours. With this, the total cases in the country reached 4,30,65,496. And the active caseload has increased to 16,279. In the last 24 hours, the country reported 32 deaths that taking the total number to 5,23,654.
The Health Ministry has informed that the total active cases are at a rate of 0.04%, while the national Covid-19 recovery rate was registered as 98.75%. There are 2,252 recoveries in the last 24 hours. So far, India has administered 188.19 crore Covid vaccine doses. Reports say that currently, the daily positivity rate is at 0.58%, and the weekly positivity rate is at 0.59%.
Today, the Drugs Controller General of India provided emergency use authorization to Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin for children between the age group of 6-12 owing to the spike in the Covid positive cases in schools. Currently, the Prime Minister is in talks with various officials from the country at his high-level meeting to discuss the Covid situation and further plans to control the dreadful virus.
