Ahead of the T20 World Cup 2022 tournament opener against Pakistan, Team India, led by Rohit Sharma met the Governor of Victoria, Linda Dessau AC and other dignitaries on Friday.
The news was published on Instagram by Team India through a post that reads, “The Honourable Linda Dessau AC, the Governor of Victoria and other dignitaries met the Indian cricket team ahead of the T20 World Cup.” All the dignitaries offered their blessing and good wishes to the Indian team for the things to come.
The BCCI and the Governor of Victoria shared photos of Team India’s visit to the Government House. On October 23rd, India will play against Pakistan in their T20 World Cup campaign opener at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. India enters the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup with high aspirations of ending their 15-year drought and winning their second title.
The men in Blue aim to reach the semi-finals for the 4th time in their 8th participation at an ICC Men’s T20 World Cup before winning in Australia. India have numerous choices with the bat, the trick will be to get the selection right and ensure those trusted deliver at the crease, with the likes of in-form batsmen KL Rahul, Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav.
