As informed by the Union Health Ministry on Saturday, India recorded a single-day rise of 2,112 new Covid cases raising the Covid-19 tally to 4,46,40,748, while the number of active cases declined to 24,043. The death toll climbed to 5,28,957 with 4 fatalities which includes three deaths reconciled by Kerala.
In a time period of 24 hours, one death has been registered in West Bengal. The active cases consist of 0.05% of total infections, while the national Covid-19 recovery rate has risen to 98.76%.
A decrease of 994 cases has been recorded in the active Covid-19 case count within 24 hours. On Friday, the number of active cases was 25,037. The daily positivity rate was recorded at 1.01%. The weekly positivity rate was recorded at 0.97%.
The total number of recovered patients are 4,40,87,748, while the case fatality rate was recorded at 1.18%. Covid-19 tally in India has crossed the 20 lakh mark on August 7, 2020, 30 lakh on August 23, 40 lakh on September 5 and 50 lakh on September 26. The entire country crossed the milestone of two crore coronavirus cases on May 4.
