It has been 15 years since beginning the widest cricket tournament Indian Premier League. For years, it has not only been entertaining the audience but also offered chances for debutant players across the world.
Today, the tournament is in the termination stage. During the closing ceremony at the venue, a giant Jersey was put on display and the host Ravi Shastri announced that it was the largest Jersey in the world, measuring 66*44 meters. And the Indian Premier League has registered in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Marking the 15th edition of the tournament, Jersey was numbered 15 and also contains the symbols of all the 10 teams that took part in IPL 2022. Sharing the news, IPL officials tweeted, “A Guinness World Record to start #TATAIPL 2022 Final Proceedings #GTvsRR. Presenting the world’s Largest Cricket Stadium – the Narendra Modi Stadium @GCAMotera.”
Between the two teams GT and RR, Gujarat Titans are aspiring to lift their maiden title. On the flip side, Rajasthan Royals are targeting to chase the title of the league, as they have been striving for 14 years. So, let’s wish both the teams good luck to win the title of this year’s tournament.
