“KCR always blames Centre for everything”, Kishan Reddy

As the Central government is not allowing the Telangana state to enact SC/ST reservations and also with the issue of not procuring paddy from the state, the political vehemence between the BJP and TRS over various impediments is raising progressively. The Union Minister as well as the BJP MP from Secunderabad, Kishan Reddy said that the state government imposes reservations and the Centre would not restrict if quotas are increased according to population strengths.

The similar decision was taken by the governments of Manipur and Mizoram, and Telangana can also follow this, he said. He alleged the Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao, “KCR and TRS leaders have commenced raising the issue of paddy procurements after the regional party’s defeat at the hands of the BJP in the Huzurabad assembly by-poll. Telangana has an issue with paddy procurement, but Andhra Pradesh doesn’t. Anyway, KCR has a habit of blaming Centre for everything.”

He said, the state instead should take up the issues of paddy procurement from this season and of the processing of parboiled rice with rice millers. Further he asked that why were the farmers not told about the agreement before the bypoll. The state must take responsibility for the procurement of broken rice. It entered into an agreement before the Huzurabad by-poll but altered its manner after losing by-election.
