In an Indian Premier League held on Tuesday, Rajasthan Royals won a victory over the Sunrisers by 61 runs. After choosing to bat first, Rajasthan Royals secured 210 for 6 in 20 overs. After the groundwork done by the opener Jos Buttler with a 28-ball 35, captain Sanju Samson obtained a highest score of 55 off 27 balls and on the flip side, Devdutt Padikkal made 41 in 29 deliveries.
As Royals obtained a huge total o 210/6, both teams met the final over. For SRH, pacers Malik and T Natarajan claimed a couple each. The team lost 3 wickets within the fifth over with just 9 runs on the board. During the powerplay, it could manage just 14 runs which was the least score in the tournament. With the spinners taking the edge off turmoil, it was lessened to 37/5 by the 11th over.
The partnership of Aiden Markram (55) and Romario Shepherd (24) obtained 41 for 6th wicket before Shepherd was bowled by the leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal in the 16th. While pacer Trent Boult dismissed the latter in the 19th, Markram and Washington Sundar (40) executed powerful performances which led to score 55 runs for 7th wicket.
During this time, Markram brought up his first IPL 50, but as SRH terminated on 149/7, losing by 61 runs, the damage was done a long time back.
