Over the issue of paddy procurement in Telangana, Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao has set his plans to implement the ‘Chalo Delhi’ act on the 11th of this month. After arriving in Delhi on Sunday, he organized a meeting with TRS MPs to discuss the purpose of the rally which will be enacted on that day.
He discussed his plans with MPs to summon chiefs of regional parties and farmers’ union leaders such as Rakesh Tikait who belongs to Bharatiya Kisan Union and Samyukta Kisan Morcha. The Chief Minister is likely to invite nearly 10,000 TRS leaders from Mandal-level to state-level, the party MLAs, MLCs, MPs, municipality chairpersons, Zilla Parishad, Mandal Parishad, mayors of municipal corporations, chairpersons of PACS, and the leaders of Rythu Bandhu Samiti, for their participation in dharna that will take place in Delhi. But, KCR hasn’t confirmed whether he takes part in dharna or not.
To consider the pros and cons of the issue of paddy procurement, the Chief Minister’s Office has intended to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union food Minister Piyush Goyal. And the appointment from the PMO office is still awaited. If there is no reply from PMO, then the CM would return to Hyderabad by tonight or tomorrow morning.
To reassess the arrangements for Chalo Delhi on April 11, the chief minister would again visit Delhi between the 7th-9th of this month. As the Prime Minister already sanctioned an appointment to the AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday at 4.30 pm to discuss some issues in AP, TRS sources expect that there is less chance for KCR to get Modi’s appointment today.
