On a mission to evacuate the stranded citizens from Ukraine, Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with Indian Embassy have protected the people who remained helpless in Ukraine to reach their destinstions. Among them, a Pakistani girl Asma Shafique has expressed her thankfulness to PM Modi and Indian Embassy in Kyiv for protecting her safely.
Asma Shafique said, “I’m very thankful to the Embassy of India in Kyiv for supporting us all the way here as we were stuck in a very difficult situation.”
According to the video posted by ANI news agency, Asma said, “Iam also thanking the Prime Minister of India. Hope we get home safely, thanks to the Indian Embassy.”
Russian began its war on Ukraine on February 24 and launched hundreds of missile and artillery attacks on cities and other sites across the country. Since the beginning of Russian assault, Indian government has been evacuating Indians from Ukraine through neighbouring countries under Operation Ganga.
So far, 16000 nationals have returned to India. Hundreds of civilians have been killed since the beginning and more than 1.5 million people have made a quick exit from Ukraine.
