Ajith Kumar’s latest film Valimai has attained greatest success at the box office in Tamil Nadu. The film has also crossed Rs 200 crore at the box office nationwide. As Surya’s ‘Etharkkum Thunindhavan’ and Prabhas’s Radhe Shyam are going to release this week, Valimai’s box office collections are expected to be reduced. At present, the film is successfully running in the theatres.
Feeling happy on success of Valimai, the film exhibitor Srither posted, “valimai entered profit zone for exhibitor and distribution Tamil Nadu (sic).” The Twitter handle of Movies Singapore wrote, “First Theatrical Hit of 2022 in Singapore (Kollywood) – #Valimai. Despite many obstacles the brand & star-value of #Ajitkumar was enough to make this a box-offit hit !! (sic).” Trade analyst Ramesh Bala tweeted, “#Valimai continues in lot of screens in #Malaysia for the 3rd week.”
Valimai is an action thriller. It was directed by H.Vinoth and was bankrolled by Boney Kapoor. Yuvan Shankar Raja had composed the musical tunes. Ajith Kumar played as Arjun who is an assistant commissioner, while Karthikeya Gummakonda played as Naren who is the chief of Satan’s slaves.
