Today in Hyderabad, prices of petrol and diesel have gone high by 91 paise and 87 paise per litre respectively, which results a total increase of Rs 5.60 per litre in the last 9 days. This is all because the incidence of local taxation. This is the 9th increase in prices since the termination of a four and a half month interlude in rate revision on 22nd of this month.
Since the daily price revision was set out in 2017 June, prices were hiked by 80 paise per litre which is the sharpest single-day rise. These hikes of the fuels have been escalated across the country and differ from state to state.
On Tuesday, petrol price was increased by 80 paise per litre and diesel was increased by 70 paise per litre. So far, the prices of both the fuels have increased to a gross amount of Rs 5.60 per litre respectively. However, we are witnessing day-by-day hike in fuel prices without any single fall.
