Rebel Star Prabhas and Pooja Hegde’s romantic saga Radhe Shyam has finally approached the theatres today. This Radha Krishna Kumar’s directorial has been stored positive hopes among the audience till the release of the film’s trailer. But, as soon as the trailer has disclosed, it could not entice the audience and even fans. Then there was a slight decline in the audience’s expectations. Now, let us see if the film has escalated the positive outcomes or not.

Story :
The story was set in 1976. Vikramaditya (Prabhas) is a pre-eminent league palmist. Many dignitaries like ministers and other officials of certain nations approach him just to know about their future. But one day, he disappears suddenly from his dwelling place without a certain reason and settles in Italy. There, he meets Dr. Prerana (Pooja Hegde) and love comes to fruition between them. Inspite of woeful foretelling from several doctors on her poor health, Vikramaditya promises Prerana that she will have a complete life ahead. Now, the story begins, and it delivers Prabhas’s opinions on a person’s destination. This is all about the story that picked up with the theme of time and destination.

Review :
The film begins with fairy tale-like visuals and pleasant music. Prabhas enters with an introduction song ‘Chalo Chalo Sanchari’. Bhagya Shree exhibited her excellent performace as mother of Prabhas, but her role is unfamiliar with the story. First half of the epic saga had developed nicely, but when comes to second half, it is worthless. The setting works such as artwork, locations, production, set designs and the background music, Rajamouli voice over are mesmerizing. Prabhas’s portrayal is not well suitable to his craze he has around him. Pooja Hegde looks fairy and attempted at her best. Excluding the male and female leads, other characters have appeared on screen for a limited time.

Plus Points :

  • Visual effects
  • Thaman’s BGM
  • Technical aspects
  • Pooja Hegde’s appearance

Minus Points :

  • Second half
  • Lack of excitement
  • Substandard narration

Overall Review :
The film’s performance in the first half is first-class, but the second half is slow paced. The director lacks in narration, which is below par. Totally, the film is a half-pie.

Rating : 2.5/5
