Former BJP MLA Raghunandan Rao has thrown his hat into the ring for the Medak Lok Sabha seat, expressing his willingness to contest if directed by the BJP high command. Reminding the public of his previous stint as the Medak MP, Rao addressed the media at the BJP state office on Tuesday, outlining the party’s focus on the Siddipet assembly constituency in the upcoming elections.
Rao raised concerns about the recently held assembly elections, alleging that BRS candidates were involved in the illicit distribution of money. Despite complaints lodged with the Siddipet Police Commissioner, Rao claimed that the issue was overlooked. Taking matters into his own hands, he filed a complaint with the Director General of Police (DGP) on Tuesday.
In his complaint, Rao pointed fingers at certain police officers whom he accused of working in favor of BRS, allegedly under the orders of District Minister Harish Rao. He called for a thorough investigation into the conduct of these officers and demanded appropriate action be taken. These developments highlight the intersection of political ambitions and concerns over electoral malpractice, setting the stage for potential scrutiny in the lead-up to the elections.
