Fresh recruitment has been announced by Uber Technologies for its India tech centers to hire 500 more technology employees by the end of this year. The app-based flexibility and delivery entity has a one thousand-member technology team across its centers in hi-tech cities like Hyderabad and Bengaluru. Last year, the company appointed 250 engineers to its India teams.
Uber has been widening teams at all its tech centers worldwide, including Amsterdam, Canada, LatAm, the US, and its twin centers in India.
“India is a major market for Uber and we progress investing in the twin tech centers here. The teams play a vital role in driving world-class innovations by initiating products and services worldwide”, said the Vice President of Uber.
In India, Uber’s tech journey started eight years back at a bungalow in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, and has widened over the years to a point where its tech centers in the country are now its second-largest across the globe.
