Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao is known for actively taking part in religious and traditional programs. But he was absent at the Ugadi celebrations this year.
Why did CM KCR distance himself from attending the official Ugadi celebrations organized by the State government yesterday at Ravindra Bharati? Officially organizing Ugadi Utsavs, Chief Minister taking part in the Ugadi Utsavs is a time-honored custom.
Here is the take of Telangana Congress on KCR’s absence.
“KCR, who in the past shifted the venue of the Ugadi festival from Ravindra Bharati to Pragati Bhavan, this time closed gates of Pragati Bhavan and directed officials to celebrate it at Ravindra Bharati. He should answer the public why he did not participate in the Ugadi celebrations. The persons in the post of CM can not function and behave as per their whims and fancies. Traditions, commitments and aspirations of people should be respected,” said TPCC senior vice president G Niranjan.
“KCR and his family sat in Pragathi Bhavan reviewing the ED enquiry on Kavitha, while panchanga shravanam was going on across the state. It is unfortunate. People are watching keenly everything. They are waiting to put an end to the misrule of KCR and his family,” further said Niranjan commenting on KCR’s absence.
