The most awaited season of women’s cricket world cup has been arrived which is scheduled from March 4. It is an eight-nation tournament. It was actually scheduled to be held from February 6 to March 7 last year. But due to pandemic it was delayed.
This biggest tournament is going to take place in a bio-bubble with overseas players. The event will not be held behind closed doors. Visitors have to be seated in pods of 100 dotted around venues.
So far, only 3 nations that claimed the silverware are Australia, England and New Zealand. Aussies lead the roll of honour by virtue of being 6-time champions while England have become winners on 4 occasions.
