Mahi V Raghav’s “Yatra 2” has found its OTT streaming partner, with Prime Video acquiring the digital rights for the sequel. Following its theatrical release earlier this month, the film failed to replicate the success of its predecessor, facing challenges amidst low buzz and unfavorable reviews.
While “Yatra Part 1” had previously been streamed on Prime Video, discussions between the producers and the streaming giant for the sequel’s rights are reportedly in the final stages. The anticipated release of “Yatra 2” on Amazon Prime Video is slated for the second week of March, offering audiences an opportunity to delve into the political narrative chronicling the life of AP CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy.
Despite its thematic relevance and the anticipation of YSRCP supporters, “Yatra 2” faced mixed responses upon its theatrical release. However, the producers remain hopeful that the film will find a wider audience through its digital release, aiming to reach viewers ahead of the upcoming elections in Andhra Pradesh.
